1. Make a list of all the objects that archaeologists may find. Which of these could be made of stone?
Ans. The following objects were found by archaeologists-
Tools, weapons, pots, pans, ornaments, remains of buildings,coins, paintings bones of animals, fish, birds, manuscripts and sculptures.
Objects which were usually made up of stones are weapons, ornaments, remains of buildings, sculptures and coins.
2. Why do you think ordinary men and women did not generally keep records of what they did?
Ans. The ordinary men and women did not keep a record of what they did because they did not know how to read and write.
3. Describe at least two ways in which you think the lives of Kings would have been different from those of farmers.
Ans. 1. The kings used to be busy with the battles while ordinary people were busy with hunting fishing gathering farming or herding.
2. The kings used to keep a record of their victories while ordinary people did not keep any records.

2. They are lit by the light of the stars.

4.Why is earth called a unique planet?
Ans. Conditions favourable to support life are probably found only on the earth. This is the reason why Earth is called a unique planet.
5. Why do we see only one side of the Moon always?
Ans. 1. The moon moves around the earth in about 27 days.
2. It takes exactly the same time to complete one spin.
3. As a result, only one side of the moon is visible to us on the earth.
6. What is the universe?
Ans. The universe is made up of millions of galaxies,which in turn are made up of huge system of billions of stars.
